The Master's University and Seminary is an accredited, private, Christian university and seminary located in Santa Clarita, California, United States. The school offers undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as a Doctor of Ministry program. The Master's University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Biblical Higher Education. The Master's Seminary is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools.
The Master's University was founded in 1927 as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary by a group of pastors and laymen from First Baptist Church of Los Angeles. The seminary was located on the campus of UCLA until 1957 when it moved to its current location in Santa Clarita. In 1986, the seminary began offering a Master of Divinity program and in 1987, the school's name was changed to The Master's College and Seminary. In 2001, the college began offering a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and in 2003, the college's name was changed to The Master's University.
The Master's University offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. Undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in a variety of majors. Graduate programs include Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Master of Divinity degrees, as well as a Doctor of Ministry program.
The Master's University is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that equips students to serve God and others. The university offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs, and organizations. The Master's University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and competes in the Golden State Athletic Conference. The university fields teams in men's and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, and track and field. The Master's University is also home to a variety of clubs and organizations, including the Student Government Association, the Master's University Choir, and the Master's University Orchestra.
