St. Lawrence University is a private liberal arts college in Canton, New York. It has about 2,400 undergraduate and 100 graduate students, representing more than 40 states and 30 countries. Founded in 1856, St. Lawrence was one of the first colleges in the United States to be co-educational. The university is named for its founder, Rev. Isaac St. Lawrence, who was an Episcopal priest.
