Soka University of America (SUA) is a four-year liberal arts college located in Aliso Viejo, California, United States. It is one of the seven Soka schools founded by Daisaku Ikeda. A Buddhist-inspired institution, its founding philosophy is based on the belief that peace can be realized through education and that the future belongs to those who live for the happiness of others.

SUA was founded in 1987 and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges in 1994. The school offers bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and international studies. The student body consists of approximately 500 students from over 40 countries. The average class size is 15 students.

SUA's campus is located on 103 acres (42 hectares) of rolling hills in Orange County, California. The campus features several gardens, including a Japanese strolling garden, as well as a pond and waterfall. The campus is also home to a number of sculptures and artworks, including a statue of Daisaku Ikeda.

The school's academic calendar is based on the Japanese academic year, with classes beginning in April and ending in March. SUA is a member of the Association of Asian Studies and the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

SUA's curriculum is based on the belief that education should foster a global perspective and a respect for human rights. The school offers a number of study abroad programs, and all students are required to complete a minimum of one semester abroad.

SUA is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school's accreditation was last renewed in 2013.
