Sitting Bull College (SBC) is a public community college in North Dakota, United States. It is a member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium. The college is named after the Lakota chief Sitting Bull. The college offers associate's degrees and certificate programs in a variety of academic and vocational fields.
SBC was founded in 1973 as a tribal college on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. The college's original purpose was to provide higher education opportunities to American Indian students. In 1975, the college was accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. In 1984, the college's name was changed to Sitting Bull College.
