Sinte Gleska University (SGU) is a private, non-profit university located on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The university offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and the humanities.

SGU was founded in 1971 by Lakota spiritual leader and educator Russell Means. Means had a vision for a university that would provide quality education to Native American students and help preserve Lakota culture. The university is named after Sinte Gleska, a 19th-century Lakota chief who was known for his wisdom and leadership.

Today, SGU is a thriving institution with an enrollment of over 600 students. The university is committed to providing a quality education to Native American students and preparing them for leadership roles in their communities. SGU offers a variety of programs and services that support student success, including tutoring, mentoring, and financial aid.
