Roosevelt University is a private university with campuses in Chicago, Illinois and Schaumburg, Illinois. Founded in 1945, the university is named after both former President Theodore Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. The university enrolls around 7,000 students in total, with the majority of students enrolled at the Chicago campus.
The university is comprised of seven colleges, including the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Nursing, the College of Social Work, and the College of Continuing and Professional Studies. Roosevelt University is also home to the Alvin J. Weinberg Presidential Library, which houses the papers of President Weinberg, who served as the university's president from 1945 to 1961.
