Pace University is a private university with campuses in New York City and Westchester County. It was founded in 1906 by the Pace brothers as a business school. Pace is one of the largest private universities in the United States, with 13,000 students enrolled in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. The university's five schools and one college offer over 200 undergraduate and graduate programs.

Pace University's main campus is located in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. The campus is situated near many of New York City's major businesses and attractions. The university also has a campus in Pleasantville, New York, in Westchester County. The Pleasantville campus is home to the School of Law and the School of Education.

Pace University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university is also a member of the Association of American Universities.

Pace University's athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division II. The university's sports teams are nicknamed the Setters.

Pace University's campus in New York City is home to the Pace University Setters men's basketball team. The team plays its home games at the Michael J. Petrides Gymnasium. The Setters have won two NCAA Division II national championships, in 1985 and 1988.

Pace University's campus in Pleasantville is home to the Pace University Setters women's basketball team. The team plays its home games at the Goldstein Fitness Center. The Setters have won four NCAA Division II national championships, in 1989, 1991, 1995, and 2000.
