Occidental College is a private liberal arts college in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 1887, the college is one of the oldest in the state. The college offers bachelor's degrees in arts and sciences, and is one of the few colleges in the country to offer a bachelor's degree in studio art. The college is also home to the Occidental College Research Center, which houses a variety of research facilities and institutes.
