NMC is located on the island of Saipan, the largest island in the CNMI. The college has two main campuses: the As Terlaje Campus in Susupe and the Fina Sisu Campus in Garapan. NMC also has satellite campuses on the islands of Tinian and Rota.

Approximately 2,500 students are enrolled at NMC. The student body is diverse, with students from the CNMI, the U.S. mainland, and other countries.

NMC is governed by a nine-member Board of Regents, which is appointed by the Governor of the CNMI. The college is led by President Carmen Fernandez, who was appointed in 2016.
