New York Academy of Art is a private art school located in New York City. It was founded in 1982 by several artists, including Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, who wanted to create an institution where artists could learn from and be inspired by the great masters of the past. The school offers both undergraduate and graduate programs, and its students have gone on to become successful artists, gallery owners, and museum directors. The Academy is committed to training its students in the traditional techniques of drawing, painting, and sculpture, while also encouraging them to experiment with new media and styles.
