MGH Institute of Health Professions is an independent, not-for-profit institution founded in 1977. The Institute is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) and offers graduate level degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, physician assistant studies, communication sciences and disorders, health professions education, and a PhD in rehabilitation sciences. The Institute also offers a post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree and a combined BS/MS degree in Nursing.

The Institute’s mission is to develop excellent clinicians, educators and researchers who will transform health care practice and education. The Institute achieves its mission through a commitment to innovative and collaborative approaches to education, scholarship, practice, and research that respect the individual and reflect the diversity of the health professions.
