Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU) is a private, for-profit university located in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1970 as Pacific Coast Bible College by Dr. Paul S. Williams, with the goal of training Christian leaders for ministry. The school was later renamed to Los Angeles Pacific College, and then to Los Angeles Pacific University. It is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission.
The university offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in a variety of subjects, including business, education, psychology, and religious studies. The school has a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1, and about 60% of classes have fewer than 20 students.
LAPU has a diverse student body, with students from all 50 states and more than 40 countries represented. The university offers a variety of student organizations and clubs, as well as intramural sports.
