CUNY New York City College of Technology (City Tech) is the designated college of technology of The City University of New York, currently offering both baccalaureate and associate degrees in more than 50 technological fields. It is the largest public college of technology in the Northeast and one of the largest in the United States.
City Tech is an internationally recognized leader in technological education. The College was ranked the fourth best public college in the nation for undergraduate education by Washington Monthly in its September/October 2010 issue. In addition, City Tech was ranked the number one public college in the nation for adult learners by Washington Monthly in its May/June 2011 issue.
City Tech is located at 300 Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn, occupying the entire block bounded by Jay, Tillary, Willoughby, and Johnson Streets. The College’s main campus is within walking distance of many subways and the Long Island Rail Road.
City Tech offers associate and baccalaureate degrees in more than 50 areas of study, including architecture, the humanities, the social sciences, the natural sciences, the arts, business, and health sciences. The College also offers a wide range of certificate programs.
City Tech’s student body is among the most diverse in the CUNY system, with students hailing from more than 150 countries and speaking more than 100 languages. The College’s faculty is also highly diverse, with more than 50 percent of full-time faculty members identifying as people of color.
