CUNY Bernard M Baruch College is a public research university located in New York City. It is a member of the City University of New York (CUNY) system and is the only college within the system designated as a research university. The college is named after financier and statesman Bernard M. Baruch.

The college was established in 1919 as the School of Business and Public Administration. In 1955, it was renamed in honor of Bernard M. Baruch, who served as an advisor to Presidents Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt and was a major figure in the development of the modern American financial system. The college offers degrees in business, public administration, economics, and liberal arts.

The college is located on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood. It is adjacent to several other CUNY colleges, including the City College of New York, Hunter College, and the CUNY Graduate School and University Center. The college is accessible by the New York City Subway's 23rd Street station on the Lexington Avenue line.

The college enrolls approximately 18,000 students, of whom about one-third are undergraduates and two-thirds are graduate students. The college's faculty includes several notable scholars and researchers, including Nobel laureate economist Joseph Stiglitz and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Eric Foner.

The college is organized into five schools: the School of Business, the School of Public and International Affairs, the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, the Zicklin School of Business, and the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences. The college offers a wide range of programs and courses of study, including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
