Bakersfield College is a public community college in Bakersfield, California. Established in 1913, it is the third oldest college in the 23-campus California Community Colleges System. It offers Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees, certificates of achievement, and transfer programs to four-year universities. The college has a student body of over 18,000 students.
Bakersfield College was founded in 1913 as a junior college, and was the first institution of higher education in Kern County. The college moved to its current location in 1955.
