Union College is a private liberal arts college in Schenectady, New York. Founded in 1795 as the first college chartered by the New York State Board of Regents, it is the oldest continuously operating college in New York State. The college offers B.A., B.S., and B.E. degrees in over 50 majors, and features a low student-to-faculty ratio of 10:1. The college is home to the world-renowned Union College Museum of Science and History, as well as the Union College Observatory. Notable alumni of Union College include U.S. President Chester A. Arthur, U.S. Vice President Elbridge Gerry, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Nobel Prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman.
