Newschool of Architecture and Design (NSAD) is an accredited private institution located in San Diego, California. NSAD offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture, interior architecture and design, landscape architecture, and urban design. NSAD’s mission is to educate architects, designers, and urbanists who will shape the environment of the future.

NSAD was founded in 1980 by a group of architects, educators, and business leaders who saw the need for a new kind of school that would prepare students for the changing field of architecture. NSAD is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) and is a member of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA).
