Millsaps College is a private liberal arts college in Jackson, Mississippi, founded in 1890 by members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. The college is named after its founder, Major Reuben Webster Millsaps, who donated $50,000 to the school. Millsaps is one of only 40 schools nationwide with a chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. U.S. News & World Report ranks Millsaps College as the #3 Best Value School and the #5 Most Innovative School in the South. The Princeton Review also ranks Millsaps as one of the Best Southeastern Colleges.
