Future Generations University (FGU) is a private, accredited online university offering bachelor's and master's degrees in sustainable development. The university is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with campuses in New York City, Seattle, and Vancouver.

FGU was founded in 2006 by social entrepreneur Michael Brown, who also serves as the university's president. The university's mission is to "empower the next generation of leaders to solve the world's most pressing problems."

FGU's curriculum is based on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted by all UN member states in 2015. The SDGs are a blueprint for achieving a sustainable future for all, and FGU is the first university in the world to align its curriculum with the SDGs.

FGU offers bachelor's degrees in Sustainable Development Studies and Sustainable Business, as well as a Master of Science in Sustainable Development. The university also offers a number of non-degree programs, including online courses, certificates, and executive education programs.

FGU's students are diverse, with over 60% coming from outside the United States. The university has a strong commitment to social and environmental justice, and its students are engaged in projects that address issues such as climate change, poverty, and inequality.

FGU is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is a member of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative launched by the United Nations in 2012.
