Wharton County Junior College is a public two-year institution of higher education located in Wharton, Texas. Founded in 1946, WCJC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate degrees and certificates. The college serves Wharton County and the surrounding counties of Austin, Colorado, Fort Bend, Jackson, Lavaca, and Matagorda.
