The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) is a two-year public institution of higher education and the largest of the 22 campuses that comprise the University of Arkansas System. The college is located in Morrilton, Conway County, Arkansas, United States, approximately 35 miles (56 km) northwest of Little Rock. The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
UACCM offers over 40 degree and certificate programs in a variety of fields, including business, health sciences, liberal arts, and technical and career-oriented disciplines. The college also provides a number of services to its students, including academic advising, career counseling, tutoring, and disability services. In addition, UACCM offers a variety of extracurricular activities and organizations, including athletics, clubs and organizations, and student government.
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton was established in 1975 as the Morrilton Junior College. The college was created in response to a need for post-secondary educational opportunities in Conway County and the surrounding area. The college began offering classes in the fall of 1976 with an initial enrollment of approximately 400 students. In the years since its founding, UACCM has grown steadily, reaching an enrollment of over 2,700 students in the fall of 2016.
