Admission Requirements

Toledo Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education (TPS ACE) is committed to helping adults in the Toledo, Ohio area attain their educational and career goals. TPS ACE offers a variety of programs and services that are designed to meet the needs of adult learners.

TPS ACE programs and services are available to adults who are at least 18 years of age and who are not currently enrolled in a K-12 school. TPS ACE does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, or disability in its programs and activities.

To enroll in a TPS ACE program, adults must complete an application and submit all required documentation. TPS ACE staff will review the application and documentation to determine if the applicant meets the program’s admission requirements.

Once an applicant is admitted to a TPS ACE program, he or she will be required to complete an orientation session. During orientation, adults will learn about the program’s expectations and requirements. They will also have an opportunity to meet with program staff and ask questions.

After completing orientation, adults will begin their program of study. TPS ACE programs are self-paced, so adults can complete them at their own pace. Most programs can be completed within two years, but some may take longer.

Throughout their program of study, adults will be supported by TPS ACE staff. Staff members are available to answer questions, provide resources, and offer guidance. They will also monitor adults’ progress and provide feedback.

Upon completion of a TPS ACE program, adults will receive a certificate or other type of credential. They will then be able to pursue their educational and career goals.
