Admission Requirements
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Nashville (TCAT Nashville) is a public institution of higher education that is part of the Tennessee Board of Regents system. The college offers associate's degrees, diplomas, and certificates in a variety of technical and trade fields.
Admission to TCAT Nashville is open to any student who has a high school diploma or equivalent. There are no specific admission requirements beyond that. However, some programs may have additional requirements, such as a minimum GPA or placement test scores.
Once admitted, students must complete a placement test to determine which courses they will need to take. Students who do not place into college-level English or math will be required to take developmental courses before they can begin taking courses in their chosen field of study.
TCAT Nashville has an open enrollment policy, which means that students can begin taking classes at any time. There are no semester start or end dates. Classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
