Stanly Community College (SCC) is a public, two-year institution of higher education located in Albemarle, North Carolina, United States. It is a part of the North Carolina Community College System. The college offers a variety of programs and courses in academic, career and technical areas. The college also provides continuing education and workforce development opportunities.
SCC was established in 1965 as Stanly Industrial Education Center. The name was changed to Stanly Vocational Education Center in 1967 and to Stanly Community College in 1971. The college moved to its current location in Albemarle in 1974.
The college serves the citizens of Stanly and Montgomery counties. The service area includes the cities of Albemarle and Troy and the towns of Badin, New London, Oakboro, Norwood, Stanfield, and Albemarle.

The college has an enrollment of over 3,000 students. The student body is diverse in age, ethnicity, and background. The average age of students is 26.
SCC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The college is also accredited by the following agencies:

The college is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees. The trustees are appointed by the Governor of North Carolina and confirmed by the North Carolina Senate.
The college is led by President Dr. John E. Roueche.
