Admission Requirements
Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) is a public community college in Santa Barbara, California. It is one of the 112 colleges in the California Community Colleges system. SBCC offers associate degrees, certificates, and transfer programs. The college also provides adult education, ESL, and distance learning programs.
SBCC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Admission to SBCC is open to all students who meet the following requirements:
1. Complete an application for admission.
2. Submit official high school transcripts or equivalent (e.g. GED).
3. Take the College Placement Test (CPT) and complete any required remedial coursework.
4. Complete any additional requirements for specific programs of study.
5. Pay the non-refundable application fee.
International students must also submit proof of English proficiency and complete additional admission requirements.
