San Jose City College is a public community college in San Jose, California. It is part of the San Jose-Evergreen Community College District. The college offers Associate's degrees and certificate programs in over 70 areas of study.

San Jose City College was founded in 1921 as San Jose Junior College. It was the first community college in Santa Clara County and the third community college in California. The college was originally located in downtown San Jose. In 1940, the college moved to its current location on Bascom Avenue.

The college has undergone several name changes over the years. In 1947, it was renamed San Jose City College. In 1974, it was renamed San Jose Metropolitan Community College. In 1981, it reverted back to its original name, San Jose City College.

San Jose City College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
