San Diego City College is a public two-year community college located in the city of San Diego, California. The college is part of the San Diego Community College District, and offers associate's degrees, as well as career and technical education. The college has an enrollment of over 18,000 students, and is the largest of the three community colleges in the district.

San Diego City College was founded in 1914 as a night school for adults. The school was originally located in the basement of a downtown San Diego hotel. In its early years, the college offered only evening classes, and its students were mostly working adults. In the 1920s, the college began to offer daytime classes as well, and its student body began to grow.

The college moved to its current location in the Mid-City neighborhood of San Diego in 1931. The campus is situated on a hilltop overlooking Balboa Park. The college underwent a major expansion in the 1950s, and the campus now covers over 50 acres.

San Diego City College offers a wide variety of academic programs. The college has over 100 associate's degree and certificate programs, as well as a number of transfer programs. The college is also home to a number of unique programs, such as the Aviation Maintenance Technician program, the only one of its kind in California.

San Diego City College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The college is also home to a number of student clubs and organizations, as well as athletics teams.
