Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is a two-year institution of higher education located in the scenic Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania. The college serves a rural population in a five-county area and offers a broad range of academic programs and services that are responsive to the needs of the community. Pennsylvania Highlands Community College was founded in 1965 as a result of a feasibility study conducted by the Pennsylvania State Board of Education. The college began offering classes in the fall of 1967 with an initial enrollment of just over 200 students. The college has grown steadily over the years and now serves a five-county area with an enrollment of over 4,000 students.

The college offers a variety of academic programs that lead to an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Applied Science degree. The college also offers a number of certificate programs that provide students with the skills and training needed for specific careers. In addition to academic programs, the college provides a variety of student services that support the academic and personal success of students.

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college is also a member of the American Association of Community Colleges and the Pennsylvania Association of Community Colleges.
