Palomar College is a public community college in San Diego County, California. The main campus is in San Marcos, with a satellite campus in Escondido. It is the largest of the 112 community colleges in California and one of the largest community colleges in the United States.

Palomar College was established in 1946 as a junior college district serving the northern part of San Diego County. The college was named after the Palomar Observatory, which is located on Palomar Mountain in the Cleveland National Forest.

The college offers associate's degrees, certificate programs, and transfer programs to four-year colleges and universities. The college also offers adult education and workforce training programs.

Palomar College has an enrollment of more than 30,000 students. The college has a student-to-faculty ratio of 24-to-1.

The college is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
