Northeastern Technical College (NETC) is a two-year community college located in Cheraw, South Carolina. NETC offers associate degrees and certificate programs in a variety of academic and technical fields. NETC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
NETC was founded in 1962 as Northeastern Technical Institute. The school was established to provide technical and vocational education to the residents of Chesterfield County. The first classes were held in September 1963 with an enrollment of over 400 students. In 1965, the school was renamed Northeastern Technical College and began offering associate degrees.
Today, NETC serves over 4,000 students each year. The college offers over 50 academic and technical programs. NETC also offers a variety of continuing education and workforce development courses.
