Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is a public technical college in Wausau, Wisconsin. The college offers more than 200 associate degree, technical diploma, and certificate programs in business, health, manufacturing, and other career fields. NTC also has a campus in Antigo, Wisconsin, which offers a limited selection of programs.
NTC was founded in 1912 as the Wausau School of Commerce. The school became a two-year college in 1966 and was renamed Northcentral Technical Institute. The college began offering four-year degrees in 1974 and was renamed Northcentral Technical College. NTC is part of the Wisconsin Technical College System.
NTC has five schools: School of Agriculture, School of Business and Information Technology, School of Health Sciences, School of Manufacturing and Construction, and School of Transportation and Public Safety. The college also has a Center for Adult Education, which offers programs for adults who want to earn a high school diploma or GED, learn English as a second language, or take college courses.
NTC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The college’s nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. The college’s radiography program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
