Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) is a public college in Curtis, Nebraska. It is part of the University of Nebraska system. NCTA is the only two-year institution in the University of Nebraska system and the only college in the United States whose primary focus is on agriculture and natural resources. The college offers Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees in a variety of agricultural and natural resource fields. NCTA also offers a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education, which is the only four-year degree offered by the college.

NCTA was founded in 1913 as the Nebraska School of Agriculture. The school was created in response to the need for more farmers and ranchers in Nebraska. The school was originally located in Lincoln, Nebraska, but moved to its current location in Curtis in 1919. The school became a part of the University of Nebraska system in 1971 and was renamed the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

NCTA is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The college has an enrollment of approximately 700 students. The student body is about evenly split between men and women. The average age of students is 22. About two-thirds of students are from Nebraska, with the remaining students coming from other states and countries.

NCTA offers a variety of academic programs. The college’s most popular majors are Agricultural Education, Animal Science, and Agricultural Business. Other popular majors include Agronomy, Horticulture, and Natural Resources Management. The college also offers a number of non-agricultural majors, such as Business Administration, Criminal Justice, and Early Childhood Education.

NCTA’s campus is located on 160 acres of land in Curtis, Nebraska. The college’s facilities include a library, a greenhouse, an animal science lab, and a variety of classroom and office buildings. The college’s athletic teams compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The college’s mascot is the Aggie, and its colors are green and gold.

NCTA is a member of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC) and the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU).
