Founded in 1946, Montgomery College is a public, coeducational college located in Montgomery County, Maryland. With more than 60,000 students, it is the largest institution of higher education in Montgomery County and the third-largest community college in Maryland. The college offers more than 130 associate's degree and certificate programs in a wide variety of disciplines, as well as continuing education and workforce development opportunities. Montgomery College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Montgomery College has three campuses: the Rockville Campus in Rockville, the Germantown Campus in Germantown, and the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus in Takoma Park/Silver Spring. The Rockville Campus is the college's flagship campus and is home to the majority of the college's academic programs. The Germantown Campus offers a wide variety of health science programs, while the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus focuses on arts and humanities programs.
