Mid-State Technical College (Mid-State) is a public, two-year technical college serving the central Wisconsin counties of Adams, Juneau, Marathon, Marquette, Portage, Waushara, and Wood. The college has its main campus in Wisconsin Rapids, with additional campuses in Marshfield, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Dells.

Mid-State offers over 50 associate degree and technical diploma programs in a wide variety of career fields, including agriculture, business, engineering, health care, information technology, manufacturing, and public safety. The college also offers a number of certificate programs and continuing education courses.

Mid-State is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college is also accredited by a number of professional organizations, including the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the National League for Nursing, and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

Mid-State Technical College was founded in 1966 as Wisconsin Rapids Area Vocational-Technical Institute. The college began with just over 200 students and six programs of study. In its 50-year history, the college has grown to serve over 7,000 students annually and offer over 50 programs of study.
