Metropolitan Community College Area, also known as MCCA, is a public community college in Omaha, Nebraska. It is part of the Nebraska Community College System and serves the Omaha-metro area. MCCA was founded in 1974 and has an enrollment of over 8,000 students. The college offers associate's degrees and certificate programs in a variety of fields, as well as continuing education and workforce development courses.
MCCA has four campuses in Omaha: the Fort Omaha Campus, the Elkhorn Valley Campus, the South Omaha Campus, and the Sarpy Center. The Fort Omaha Campus is the college's main campus and is home to most of the college's academic and administrative buildings. The Elkhorn Valley Campus is located in the northwest Omaha suburb of Elkhorn and offers programs in agriculture, horticulture, and veterinary technology. The South Omaha Campus is located in the south Omaha neighborhood of Millard and offers programs in healthcare and human services. The Sarpy Center is located in the city of Papillion and offers programs in business, information technology, and engineering.
MCCA is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers a variety of financial aid options for students. The college also has a number of student clubs and organizations, as well as athletics teams.
