Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) is a public two-year community college in Beaumont, Texas. It is part of the Lamar University System. LIT offers certificates and associate's degrees in a variety of academic and technical fields.

LIT was founded in 1951 as Lamar College of Technology, a two-year trade school. It became part of the Lamar University System in 1995 and was renamed Lamar Institute of Technology.

LIT offers over 50 academic and technical programs leading to certificates and associate's degrees. Programs are divided into five academic divisions: Business and Technology, Health Sciences, Industrial and Engineering Technologies, Public Service, and Liberal Arts.

LIT is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. It is also accredited by a number of professional organizations, including the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and the National League for Nursing.

LIT has an open admissions policy and does not require applicants to take entrance exams. However, some programs may have additional requirements.

LIT is located on a 100-acre campus in Beaumont, Texas. The campus includes a library, computer labs, and a variety of academic and support buildings.

LIT is a member of the Texas Association of Community Colleges and the American Association of Community Colleges.
