Hagerstown Community College (HCC) is a two-year institution of higher education located in Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. The school is part of the Maryland Community College system. Founded in 1946, HCC was the first community college established in Maryland and one of the first in the country. The college offers a variety of degree and certificate programs, as well as continuing education and workforce development opportunities.

HCC serves a population of over 11,000 students annually, including traditional and non-traditional students. The college has a diverse student body, with students coming from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. HCC offers over 60 degree and certificate programs, as well as a variety of continuing education and workforce development opportunities. The college’s academic programs are divided into five divisions: Business and Professional Studies; Health Professions; Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education; Math, Science, and Engineering; and Public Safety and Transportation.

The college’s Business and Professional Studies Division offers programs in business, accounting, computer science, and office technology. The Health Professions Division offers programs in nursing, dental hygiene, and health information technology. The Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education Division offers programs in liberal arts, communication, and education. The Math, Science, and Engineering Division offers programs in mathematics, science, and engineering. The Public Safety and Transportation Division offers programs in law enforcement, fire science, and transportation.

HCC also offers a variety of continuing education and workforce development opportunities. The college’s continuing education programs include non-credit courses, workshops, and seminars. The workforce development programs at HCC provide training and development opportunities for individuals and businesses in the community.

Hagerstown Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college is also a member of the American Association of Community Colleges and the Maryland Association of Community Colleges.
