Admission Requirements

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education offers a variety of educational programs to help students succeed in their academic and career goals. The school provides a variety of services to support students in their educational journey, including academic advising, tutoring, and career services.

To be eligible to enroll in credit classes, students must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet the California residency requirements. For non-credit classes, there are no age or residency requirements. However, students must have the ability to benefit from the instruction in order to enroll.

Prior to enrolling in classes, all students are required to complete a placement process which includes taking a placement test and meeting with a counselor. The placement test is used to determine which level of classes the student should take. The counselor will review the student's test results and discuss their educational goals to determine the best course of action.

Once the student has been placed, they will need to complete the registration process which includes paying for classes and completing any necessary paperwork. After the student has registered, they will be able to attend classes and start working towards their goals.
