Flint Hills Technical College (FHTC) is a two-year institution of higher education located in Emporia, Kansas, United States. The college offers more than 40 technical programs in a variety of fields, as well as adult education and continuing education courses.

FHTC was founded in 1965 as the Flint Hills Area Vocational-Technical School. The school was created in response to the need for skilled workers in the area, and initially offered programs in automotive mechanics, welding, and other trades. In its early years, the school was housed in a former elementary school building.

In the 1970s, the school began to expand its programs and facilities. A new campus was built, and programs in nursing, business, and other fields were added. The school was renamed Flint Hills Technical Institute in 1974.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the school continued to grow, adding programs in computer technology, aviation, and other areas. The school was renamed Flint Hills Technical College in 1999.

Today, FHTC is a comprehensive technical college serving more than 5,000 students. The college offers programs in a wide range of fields, including healthcare, business, manufacturing, and more. FHTC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
