Admission Requirements
Evergreen Valley College (EVC) is a public community college in San Jose, California. Evergreen Valley College offers over 100 academic programs and degrees.
Admission to Evergreen Valley College is open to all students who meet the California residency requirements. Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to a specific program or course of study.
EVC has an open-door policy, which means that any student who meets the minimum requirements for admission will be accepted. However, some programs may have additional requirements.
The minimum requirements for admission to EVC are:
1. A high school diploma or equivalent
2. A completed application for admission
3. Official high school transcripts or equivalent
4. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
5. A non-refundable application fee
6. Proof of California residency
7. Immunization records
8. Assessment test scores (if applicable)
9. Prerequisites (if applicable)
10. Additional requirements for specific programs
Students who do not meet all of the admission requirements may be eligible for conditional admission. Conditional admission allows students to enroll in a limited number of courses while they complete the requirements for regular admission.
EVC also offers a variety of programs and services for students who are interested in transferring to a four-year college or university. EVC has articulation agreements with many colleges and universities in California, which guarantee the transfer of EVC course credits.
EVC also offers a variety of services and programs for international students. International students must meet the same admission requirements as all other students. In addition, international students must submit proof of English proficiency and financial documentation.
