Elgin Community College (ECC) is a comprehensive community college located in Elgin, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. It is the second largest community college in Illinois. The college offers over 100 degree and certificate programs, as well as non-credit and continuing education courses.

ECC was founded in 1949 as Elgin Academy, a two-year college. In 1966, the college became Elgin Community College and began offering four-year degrees. In addition to its main campus, the college has satellite campuses in Bartlett, South Elgin, andStreamwood.

ECC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college is also accredited by the National League for Nursing and the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
