Admission Requirements
Eastern Shore Community College (ESCC) is a public, two-year institution of higher education located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. The College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the Associate Degree.
ESCC offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of students seeking transfer to four-year colleges and universities, those seeking employment after graduation, and those interested in personal enrichment. The College provides quality instruction, small class sizes, and personal attention to ensure student success.
To be eligible for admission to ESCC, students must:
1. Be a high school graduate or the equivalent (GED);
2. Submit an official high school transcript or GED scores;
3. Submit official college transcripts, if applicable;
4. Submit a completed application for admission;
5. Pay the non-refundable application fee;
6. Complete an assessment test, if required; and
7. Meet any additional requirements for specific programs.
Students who are not high school graduates or the equivalent may be eligible for admission to ESCC if they:
1. Are at least 18 years of age;
2. Submit a completed application for admission;
3. Pay the non-refundable application fee;
4. Complete an assessment test, if required; and
5. Meet any additional requirements for specific programs.
International students must also submit the following:
1. A completed application for admission;
2. A non-refundable application fee;
3. Documentation of financial responsibility;
4. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended;
5. Official secondary school transcripts and/or GED scores;
6. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores;
7. An evaluation of foreign transcripts, if applicable; and
8. Meet any additional requirements for specific programs.
