Admission Requirements
Cuyamaca College is a community college in San Diego, California. The college is part of the Rancho San Diego community, which is located in the eastern portion of the city of San Diego. Cuyamaca College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
The college offers associate degrees and certificate programs in over 60 areas of study. In order to be eligible for admission to the college, students must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Students must also take a placement test to determine which level of coursework they are eligible for.
Cuyamaca College has a open-door admissions policy, which means that any student who meets the minimum requirements for admission will be accepted. However, the college does encourage students to apply early, as space in some programs may be limited.
Once students have been accepted to the college, they will need to complete a student orientation and register for classes. Class registration is done on a first-come, first-served basis, so students are encouraged to register as early as possible.
Students at Cuyamaca College are required to pay tuition and fees for each semester they are enrolled in classes. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
