Copiah-Lincoln Community College was founded in 1928 as Copiah County Agricultural High School. The school was established to provide agricultural education to the residents of Copiah County. In the early years, the school offered a two-year program that focused on agriculture and home economics. In the late 1940s, the school began offering a four-year program that led to a bachelor's degree in agriculture. In the 1950s, the school's name was changed to Copiah-Lincoln Agricultural and Technical College. In the 1960s, the school began offering associate's degrees in addition to its agricultural programs. In the 1970s, the school's name was changed to Copiah-Lincoln Community College. The college began offering a wider range of programs, including business, health care, and liberal arts. Today, the college offers over 50 programs of study.
Copiah-Lincoln Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The college has an open admissions policy and does not require applicants to take entrance exams. The college is located on a 200-acre campus in Wesson, Mississippi. The campus includes a library, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and a bookstore.
