College of the Desert (COD) is a public community college in Palm Desert, California. COD offers Associate's degrees and certificate programs in a variety of fields, as well as non-credit personal enrichment courses. COD is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

COD was established in 1958 as a junior college serving the Coachella Valley. The college moved to its current location in 1965. In 1973, COD became a part of the California Community College system.

COD has an enrollment of approximately 10,000 students. The college offers a variety of student services, including academic advising, tutoring, and career counseling. COD also has an active student government and a variety of clubs and organizations.

The college's athletic teams are known as the Roadrunners. COD competes in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. The college offers a variety of intramural sports as well.

COD is located in Palm Desert, California, approximately 100 miles east of Los Angeles.
