Admission Requirements
Cleveland Community College (CCC) is an accredited, public, two-year institution of higher education and a member of the North Carolina Community College System. CCC offers high-quality, affordable education to residents of Cleveland and Rutherford counties. The college provides accessible, student-centered programs and services leading to successful completion of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates that prepare graduates for further education and careers in a global economy.
CCC is an open-admission college. However, some programs have selective admission requirements. All applicants must complete the college's admission process, which includes submitting an application, official transcripts, and any required test scores. Applicants who have not completed high school or who have not taken the GED must complete the college's Adult High School program before they can be considered for admission.
Applicants who have already completed some college coursework must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. CCC will evaluate transcripts to determine if any of the coursework can be applied toward the student's desired program of study. All applicants must also take the placement tests in English and math. The results of the placement tests will be used to determine which courses the student will need to take to complete their program of study.
CCC is committed to providing an accessible and affordable education to all students. The college offers a variety of financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs. Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine their eligibility for financial aid.
CCC also offers a variety of student support services, including academic advising, tutoring, and career counseling. The college has a strong commitment to student success and provides a variety of resources and services to help students reach their academic and career goals.
