Charles A. Jones Career and Education Center is a public high school located in the Oak Park neighborhood on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. The school is named after Charles A. Jones, who served as the first African American principal of a Chicago public high school. The school opened in September 1974 and currently serves about 1,100 students in grades 9-12. The school's mission is to provide a quality education that prepares students for success in college and careers. The school offers a variety of academic and career-oriented programs to meet the needs of its diverse student body.
