Admission Requirements
Chabot College is a community college in the San Francisco Bay Area. The college is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Admission to Chabot College is open to all students who have a high school diploma or equivalent. The college does not have an admission test. However, students must complete a placement test before enrolling in classes.
Students who have not completed a high school diploma or equivalent may be admitted to the college if they meet one of the following criteria:
• They are at least 18 years of age and have completed the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE).
• They are at least 18 years of age and have completed a General Educational Development (GED) test with a score of at least 145 on each subject area test.
• They are at least 16 years of age and have completed an accredited home school program.
