Admission Requirements
Admission to Canadian Valley Technology Center (CVTC) is open to all high school graduates and GED holders who are at least 18 years old. There are no prerequisites for most programs, however, some programs may require students to take a placement test or have previous experience in the field. CVTC offers over 50 programs in a variety of career fields, so there is sure to be a program that meets your needs.
CVTC has an open-door policy, meaning that any student who meets the above requirements is welcome to enroll. However, because some programs have limited class sizes, students are encouraged to apply early.
Once you have been accepted to CVTC, you will need to complete a few steps before you can begin your classes. These steps include attending a new student orientation, completing a program of study, and paying your tuition and fees.
Orientation is mandatory for all new students and is designed to help you transition to college life. During orientation, you will learn about CVTC’s policies and procedures, tour the campus, and meet with your academic advisor. Orientation is offered throughout the year, so you can choose a date that works best for you.
After orientation, you will need to meet with your academic advisor to discuss your program of study. Your advisor will help you choose the courses you need to take to complete your program and graduate.
Once you have completed your program of study, you will need to pay your tuition and fees. CVTC offers a variety of payment options, so you can choose the option that best suits your needs. You can pay your tuition and fees in full, or you can set up a payment plan.
Once you have completed the above steps, you will be ready to begin your classes at CVTC. CVTC offers a variety of services to help you succeed in your studies, including tutoring, career services, and academic advising.
CVTC is committed to helping you reach your educational goals. If you have any questions about the admissions process, or if you need help choosing a program of study, please contact the Admissions Office at (405) 422-1417.
