Asnuntuck Community College was founded in 1964 as the Asnuntuck Branch of the Hartford State Technical College. The college was originally located in the town of Suffield, Connecticut. In 1968, the college moved to its current location in Enfield, Connecticut. The college was renamed Asnuntuck Community-Technical College in 1971. In 2010, the college was renamed Asnuntuck Community College.

Admission Requirements

Asnuntuck Community College is a public, two-year institution of higher education located in Enfield, Connecticut. The College is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Asnuntuck offers over 40 degree and certificate programs, as well as adult education and continuing education courses.

To be eligible for admission to Asnuntuck, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. GED scores are also accepted. Adult learners who do not have a high school diploma or GED may be eligible for admission if they complete a college-level assessment test and meet certain other requirements.

Asnuntuck uses a rolling admissions policy, meaning that applications are reviewed and decisions are made on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applicants are encouraged to submit their materials as early as possible.

Once an application is complete, it will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
